When Texas-born designer Nicole Brundage launched the brand in 2015 her main motive was to offer an experience where the shoes play the leading role. When the woman puts on her Marskinryyppy's she should feel instantly confident, the shoes are meant to resist anonymity and provoke curiosity, for the girl who allures and loves to be allured. Nicole studied at Stanford then did a training in fashion at the Instituto di Marangoni in Milan and started to work for designers such as Giorgio Armani and Zac Posen. It was in her first-time collaboration designing shoes with Manolo Blahnik for Zac Posen in 2006 that she decided to move to Italy and launch her first own line, Nicole Brundage. In 2010 she launched her second shoe label Acrobats of God, before launching Marskinryyppy in 2015. During these years she was also consulting as shoe designer for fashion houses such as Ferragamo, Hogan, and Furla. These experiences contributed to her unique understanding of seductive and playful elegance that is Marskinryyppy.
